Between 1975 and till now he has worked in numerous productions as a director and actor, few of his career best productions include Bhayam, Natakam, Mahanatudu, Jagannadha radha chakralu, Satyam garillekkada, Prema vyuham, Ramudu leni rajyamlo, Maro manjadaro, Siddhartha, Chimakuutina natakam, Raji, Mrutyunjayudu, Rudraveena, Valliddaritho veellu mugguru, Yandamuri’s Charitra, Pathro’s Labham, Sandhya chaya, Shri Attili Krishna’s Saransam (Based on Aru saara kathalu of Shri Rachakonda) and Sandhyachaya.
He was felicitated for his contribution to theatre in numerous occasions, few of them include

Venkata Naresh Burla, an actor, lighting designer, director and an academician who is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Centre for Performing Arts at the Central University of Jharkhand, has come a long way after receiving his masters degree in Theatre Arts from University of Hyderabad. He was the recipient of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus fellowship and pursued Masters in International performance Research from University of Tampere, Finland and University of Amsterdam and has recently received his doctorate from Dept. of Theatre Arts, University of Hyderabad.
He has worked in the Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, Bengaluru and also worked at Department of Theatre Arts, University of Hyderabad. To his credit, he has directed numerous plays, Gopal ki duniya and Macbeth are two fine productions directed by him in the University Campus that have been well-received by students, teaching and non-teaching staff and general public. He has coordinated number of academic programs on Cultural Creative Expressions-Performing Arts and contributed many articles for few edited volumes.

As a director, lighting designer, sound technician, mask-maker and writer, Chandra has been a part of hundreds of performances and, talking to him, you would believe that the stage is possibly more than the world, and players perhaps more than merely men and women. “Drama is an important instrument that can build a sense of consciousness in society,” he believes. “There is a need to save and reinvent drama.” For over five years now, he has dedicated his career to introducing children to the world of theatre arts.
Chandrasekhar Indla has become a recognisable name in Telugu literary circles. This began when his final master’s project, a play adaptation of the book Gopathrudu by K.N.Y Pathanjali, became a sensation in theatres across Andhra Pradesh. He followed this with another adapted play called Miss Meena, based on the tragicomedy “The Visit” by Friedrich Dürrenmatt. Ms. Meena was performed over 100 shows statewide, earning Chandra a reputation as tested thespian. Apart from this, Chandra has also spoken and presented about Telugu theatre at international conferences.
